Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal data ZGAME WoW collects, how we use it, and the rights you hold over it under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — Regulation (EU) 2016/679), Romanian Law no. 190/2018 on measures implementing the GDPR, and Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector.

Who We Are

ZGAME WoW (wow.zgame.biz) is a private World of Warcraft server operated for recreational, non-commercial purposes. We are not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment. World of Warcraft® is a registered trademark of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.

Data We Collect

  • Account data — Username, email address, password (stored as a bcrypt hash — we never see your plain-text password)
  • Character data — In-game character names, class, race, level, equipment and progress tied to your account
  • Connection data — IP address at login, date and time of connections, client version
  • Forum content — Posts, threads, reactions and signatures you create on our forum
We collect only the minimum data required to operate the game server and website. We do not collect payment details, real names, or any sensitive personal categories.

How We Use Your Data

  • Authenticate you on the website and game server
  • Provide and maintain all game services
  • Enforce server rules and investigate abuse reports
  • Send essential account notifications (password reset, ban notice)
  • Display public character profiles in the Armory

Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all associated personal data (account credentials, forum posts, character data) will be removed within 30 days. IP logs are kept for a maximum of 90 days for security purposes.
